Dizziness With Sinus Infection
When the Eustachian tube becomes swollen or blocked by mucus, it cannot perform its job effectively. This creates a vacuum in the middle ear, preventing the fluid from draining and disrupting the normal air pressure. This pressure imbalance pushes against the eardrum and the delicate structures of the inner ear. The result is a sensation of fullness in the ear, muffled hearing, and dizziness or "lightheadedness."
