Every new major EA release usually requires the latest Nintendo firmware (currently hovering around HOS 19.0.0+). If you are running Atmosphere 1.7.x, you might be fine. But FC 26 will likely ship with a Master Key 18 or higher. If you haven't updated your sigpatches via the usual sources (like ThatOneHakateGroup), the NSP will install but throw a "Unable to start software" error immediately.
