“Muḥammad ibn Masʿūd said: I heard ʿAlī ibn al-Ḥasan ibn Faḍḍāl say: ‘I asked my father about Zurārah. He said: He was one of the jurists and reciters. Then I asked him about his status with al-Bāqir and al-Ṣādiq (peace be upon them).
