108 Shakti Peeth

Shakti Peeths are a network of 108 sacred sites scattered across India, Nepal, and other parts of South Asia. The term "Shakti" refers to the divine feminine energy, while "Peeth" means "seat" or "throne." These sites are believed to be the locations where the 51 body parts of Sati, the goddess of love and fertility, fell to the earth after her self-immolation. Each Shakti Peeth is associated with a specific body part of Sati and is considered a powerful center of spiritual energy.

Among all Peeths, four are considered the holiest, known as the Adi Shakti Peeths . These correspond to the major body parts. 108 shakti peeth
