Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga (Ed and Lorraine Warren) do not appear in this film. Annabelle is a prequel focused on the doll’s origin before it came into the Warrens’ possession. They only enter the timeline in the later sequel, Annabelle Comes Home (2019).
