The mastermind of the Death Race, Weyland International, has been bought out by a ruthless British mogul named Niles York (played by Dougray Scott). York decides to take the Death Race global. He forces Lucas to race again, but this time the rules have changed. The event is transformed into a "Death Race Navigator Tournament," where female convicts from a separate "female prison" are brought in to race alongside the male drivers as navigators.
