Poses Upd — Bug Yoga

While it sounds macabre, the Dying Beetle is a lesson in Vairagya (non-attachment) and humor. It forces the practitioner to abandon dignity. You cannot look cool doing the Dying Beetle. It reminds us to laugh at our own struggles and to accept that sometimes, we are powerless against the elements.

One of the most iconic bug yoga poses is the "Cobra Pose," also known as Bhujangasana. This pose is named after the majestic cobra, a snake that embodies power, agility, and transformation. To practice Cobra Pose, one lies on their stomach with their hands under their shoulders, then presses their palms into the ground and lifts their chest and head off the mat, keeping their shoulders down and away from their ears. As the body rises, it resembles the cobra's majestic hood, symbolizing the expansion of the heart and the awakening of inner strength. bug yoga poses
