Error: No Key Protectors Found. -
Type the following command to see if BitLocker is actually active: manage-bde -status
This can take several hours depending on the size of your drive. You can check the progress with manage-bde -status . Once it reaches 0%, the drive is decrypted, and the error should disappear. When All Else Fails
The Trusted Platform Module (your hardware security chip) is disabled or was cleared. error: no key protectors found.
manage-bde -protectors -adbackup C: -id {YOUR-ID-GOES-HERE}
Most "no key protector" errors are caused by the motherboard "forgetting" the TPM. Type the following command to see if BitLocker

This is a classic "ghost in the machine" error for Windows administrators. It usually appears when you run manage-bde -protectors -get C: expecting to see recovery keys, but instead, you get slapped with When All Else Fails The Trusted Platform Module
If you do not have your 48-digit Recovery Key (usually found in your under "Devices" or printed out), and the error "No key protectors found" persists, you are unfortunately looking at a data loss scenario. Without a protector or a key, BitLocker is doing exactly what it was designed to do: prevent access to the data.
