The movie picks up where the first film left off, with Mike and Sulley enjoying their successful careers as scarers. However, things take a turn when a new Scarer, Randall Boggs (voiced by Steve Buscemi), becomes jealous of Sulley's success and plots to kidnap a child to harness their scream.
