In the series finale, "Ouroboros," Michael and his team successfully take down the conspiracy, but not without sacrifices. Unfortunately, Michael is killed in the process, and the series concludes with Lincoln, now exonerated, and the surviving members of the escape team saying their goodbyes. So, to answer the question: While the main characters face numerous close calls and challenges, they do manage to evade capture for a significant part of the series.
