Released in 2011, Lights of Endangered Species is the fifth solo studio album by Canadian alternative rock artist Matthew Good. The record is widely considered one of Good's most ambitious and personal works, leaning heavily into orchestral arrangements and jazz influences rather than traditional radio rock.

Following the dark, urban-rock aesthetic of Vancouver (2009), Good sought to create an album with a broader sonic palette. The pivotal creative decision was the reunion with producer Warne Livesey, who had produced Good’s breakout solo debut, Avalanche , as well as his work with the Matthew Good Band.
