The first dimension of tawasul nu lengkep is the foundational pillar of ritual devotion ( hablun minallah ). This is the most visible form of tawasul , where the individual seeks to bridge the gap between the finite human self and the Infinite Divine through prescribed acts of worship. In this stage, the believer utilizes the "wasila" or means provided by religious law: the five daily prayers, fasting, and the recitation of the Quran. These acts serve as the spiritual oxygen for the soul. However, for tawasul to be "lengkep" (complete), these rituals cannot be empty shells. They must be performed with khusyu' (deep concentration) and sincerity. If the ritual is performed physically but the heart is absent, the connection is severed; the bridge is built, but the traveler refuses to cross it. Thus, the completeness of this stage lies in the presence of the heart, turning the ritual into a genuine dialogue with the Divine.
