A film crew arrives to document the lives of teachers in a "struggling" school, invited by the self-absorbed and unqualified Principal Ava Coleman .

Janine Teagues (Quinta Brunson), is a second-year teacher struggling with a very specific, very gross problem: a student peed on her classroom rug. While Janine sees the rug as a "huge Xanax for kids" that provides essential structure, her request for a replacement is met with the harsh reality of school budgets. While the city finds millions for Eagles stadium renovations, Abbott can't even get a clean carpet.
