The program closed automatically. The CD drive whirred and spat out the disc. On the screen, a small text file remained on the desktop. Leo opened it.

The stories on the screen began to shift. Leo realized he was typing a narrative. It was the story of a programmer in the late nineties who had tried to write a perfect AI, an AI that could predict stock markets, weather patterns, and lottery numbers.
