In the Scorch, they face scorching heat, collapsing skyscrapers, and hordes of Cranks. Their leader, Jorge, and his tough sidekick, Brenda, join them. At a ruined city’s center, WCKD captures them again. Dr. Paige reveals the truth: Teresa, the girl Thomas loved, betrayed them. She believes WCKD’s cure is worth any sacrifice.
