The show’s most electric pairing. Blue’s cold pragmatism and Jules’s guarded vulnerability are a match made in trauma. Season 21 will give them a “will they/won’t they” that actually pays off — they will, but then Jules’s estranged mother (guest star Rosemarie DeWitt) arrives with stage IV pancreatic cancer, forcing Jules to reconcile her hatred of her mother with her duty as a doctor.
